The rooms were spotless, and the hotel had a vintage charm that added to its relaxing atmosphere. The bar areas and conservatory were spacious and modern, and the recent refurbishment of the bar was beautiful. The hotel is set in fabulous gardens and offers breathtaking views of the hanging valley above. The location, although a drive away from any towns, is perfect for enjoying the lush and peaceful Barrowdale Valley. Breakfast was cooked to perfection, and the staff provided excellent customer service.

The location, nestled in the beautiful Borrowdale Valley, made us feel right at home. The refurbishments, especially in the bedrooms, added a modern and comfortable touch. We also loved the delicious food served by the courteous staff. And let's not forget the stunning view of the lake and fells from our room's three windows. The bar area and gardens were also very nice, providing a relaxing atmosphere. the cleanliness, hotel facilities, and the easy access to transportation made our stay even more enjoyable. We would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to experience the magnificent Lake District.

The hotel is located in the centre of Borrowdale, in an area we know well. The cleanliness of the room and bathroom was exceptional. The breakfast provided was tasty and satisfying. The staff were friendly and helpful.
